Postcards from Another World Returns

Well we are back on the airwaves. After a very fun filled summer break we will start the new run of Postcards from Another World on radio in Ireland on September 28th. Thanks to Mike and the gang for doing such a good job with the School's Out show over the last 3 months.

There is so much good stuff to look forward to in the coming season. Our own Atlanta Braves here in Georgia are doing well with a win today that left them with 90 under thier talented belts. The fantastic Falcons seem to be kicking off the football season well with a win today as well even without star Mike Vick. And soon my favorite sport Hockey will take to the ice for a new season. This year we will have much more coverage of your favorite sports as well as the best in music and entertainment.

Some of this years highlights will be interviews and live session from The Dublin Ohio Music Festival and the Milwaukee Irish Festival. We will be taking to the hills for Harvestfest in the coming weeks and talking to John Prine about how a major Americana singer/songwriter finds living in Ireland.

We will be joining some people at tailgating parties to let you see what this distinctly American phenomenon is all about and we will be bring you the sites and sounds of the last few Braves games of the season.

From home we will have aduio sessions with Liz Doherty and her amazing fiddle playing. We will be talking to her namesake Kevin Doherty about his current band which includes Van Morrison veteran Nicky Scott and former Wings guitarist Henry McCullough. We will also have interviews recorded at The Fleadh festival as well as some sippets from Lorient in France and Tonder in Denmark.

And if you miss the show as always we will have snippets of the best of it online here for download. As always we will have pictures to give you a visual look at all our stories as well. So you dont have to miss a thing.
