Cliar and Dòchas upcoming live dates

Scottish band Cliar who recently had a very successful tour with Altan in both Ireland and Scotland are still on the road for selected gigs and those of you who missed them on that double header should get along and see what all the fuss is about. Cliar are fast becoming Scotland’s best known and successful traditional band and like Altan will soon be playing to huge packed houses all over the world. So take this chance to see them locally in the next few months while you still can

Also on the road at the moment are another fine Scottish band Dòchas, a five piece all female band playing the songs and tunes of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and Ireland. This is another band making a name for themselves in music circles and features Kathleen Boyle on piano and accordion, Julie Fowlis on vocals, pipes and whistles, Carol-Anne MacKay on bagpipes, accordion and Scottish small pipes, Eilidh, MacLeod on clàrsach and Jenna Reid on fiddle.

To catch the band live in the next few weeks you will need to be in Scotland but I predict you will be seeing this band’s name all over the world soon. If you are in Scotland then check out one of these shows.
