a relatively new band in the world of Irish traditional music but between
the members they have years of experience to draw from. In the past couple
of years they have been making waves all over the world with their extremely
fine blend of instrumentals and vocals.
The 5 members bring to the band a unique sound and feature Oisin Mac Diarmada on fiddle and vocals, John Blake on guitar, and flute, Paul Finn on button accordian, Sean McElwain on banjo and bouzouki and Tristan Rosenstock on bodhran.
Already they have international tours under their belt including some great shows in the USA and won the Best Newcomers in 2003 Award from Irish Music Magazine. Their debut album has just been repackaged and re-released worldwide on Green Linnet records and the band will be touring non stop over the coming months to promote it. So if you are in Ireland , Canada the US or England in the next few months you will have a chance to see the band. This is one band where I cant fit in every live date so here is the list through the end of March. By then I will have made lots more room to let you know where else this amazing young band are headed.
If the band aren't playing anywhere near you which by the look of this list is very unlikely then the new album is a very nice addition to your traditional music collection.
